Roschach is an on going project that works in two part. Both parts are inspired by visual symetry and the Rorschach test. Their combination creates a conversation with the analogue photgraphy and the digital videos.
The first part includes old photography where some characters are remooved in order to interrogate what would the present be if these people where not present at these specific moments. Roschach Part 1 rises question about the impact of the past onto the future, around George Orwell’s, 1984 quote
“ He who control the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.”
The second part are videos presents people crying with their reflection laughthing, demonstrating how the body is a window of the inner state of mind. The project aim to represent the necesity of one emotion in order for the other one to exist, as Albert Camus wrote “ There is no sun without shadow, and it is essential to know the night.”Futher more the choice of laughing and crying states goes with my exploration into human nature as they are both instantly universaly recognisable.
